Holy hell, yesterday was insane. I didn't think writing that many words in a single day was something I could actually do. I think I ended up with 8800+ at the end of Thursday night, wrote absolutely nothing on Friday, and wrote so much yesterday that I'm actually a day ahead now. WHAT THE HELL? Unlike the people I nano with though, mass output is really not my thing. Never has been. Meeting minimum word requirements has always been tough for me, because I'm really bad at fluffy descriptions and other such word count boosters.

That being said, it feels nice to be a little ahead. Now if only my brain didn't hurt quite so much!

Well this sucks. My brain picked now of all times to spearhead my book straight into a different genre. I mean I'll be able to keep the zombies and all, but I'll have to do some heavy editing in the first two chapters come december.

That being said, I am definitely a lot more excited about this new spin on things!

I know I'm three days late to this, but I figured late is better than never.

So here's my word count progress bar, for those of you interested:

ETA: Now that the official widgets are working, I've made my word count a sticky post at the top of the journal!

Please come cheer me on at anytime. Most of you know how to contact me on AIM/Gtalk, but I'm also accepting twitter love (username - puja) :D

Things to address:
- Audience. Mention that this is intended for a middle school reader.
- Explain my need for a new version: clip of original, literal translation, other translation. Maybe a detailed look at my own process?
- Scan images and stick them in
- Proofread stories.
- Remove all unnecessary footnotes.
- Figure out the abstract and biography that have to be included.
